Dr. Brown and the TBL have been awarded an NIH R01 grant from the National Cancer Institute to advance our work on intra-operative prostate cancer tumor margin detection.  Co-investigators on the project are Dr. Andrew Sholl, Dr. Jonathan Silberstein, and Dr. Michelle Lacey at Tulane University; Dr. Stephen Freedland at Cedars Sinai Medical Center; and Dr. Jonathan Epstein at Johns Hopkins Medical Institute.

Lauren Hymel, an undergraduate researcher in the TBL, has been awarded a prestigious NSF Graduate Fellowship Award.  Lauren will pursue graduate study in Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech.  Congratulations and good luck, Lauren!
